My life has been somewhat unconventional. Growing up, I traveled the world with my twin sister and backpacker parents, foregoing a more traditional educational path for “world-schooling” before it was popular. My experiences around the word in my youth shaped who I am and how I connect to people today. I still have a deep wanderlust and use my global knowledge in all that I do, both professionally and personally.
Since 2018, I’ve pursued a career as an event and travel planner, dedicating my efforts to orchestrating, organizing, and executing over 360 events within the past five years. While my primary focus has revolved around travel and wedding planning, my expertise extends to a wide array of events, including the New York Women’s Surf Film Festival, product launches, influencer marketing gatherings, and many others. My role as a travel planner has also cultivated partnerships with renowned organizations like Surf With Amigas and secured features in Bride Magazine. Prior to the onset of the pandemic, I assumed the role of a global marketing associate at Luster, an event technology company. Here, I contributed to the marketing efforts for esteemed organizations such as NASA and Yves Saint Laurent. I possess a fervent passion for organization, and I’m always eager to explore innovative project management tools to streamline operations.
My journey into digital marketing commenced over a decade ago, spanning diverse roles such as copywriter, specialist in paid and organic advertising, influencer marketer, and community manager. Leveraging my background in film production, I artfully merge design skills with my writing prowess to craft captivating content for my clients. My marketing experience spans across an eclectic range of industries, encompassing healthcare, events, e-commerce, food and beverage, travel, weddings, and more.
But there’s more to life than work! In 2021, I founded Yeasty Boys, a surf club and community group with a strong focus on empowering women surfers. Our mission is to pair beginner surfers and individuals of all skill levels with buddies, ensuring that no one ever has to surf alone. We aspire to cultivate a more diverse lineup in the surfing world and are committed to teaching beginners essential etiquette and skills that will enhance their surfing journey and keep them in the water for years to come. Although we emphasize inclusivity for women, everyone is warmly welcomed! Our only requirements are to promote a supportive atmosphere and embrace feminine energy within the surfing community. Our diverse membership, spanning ages from 20 to 65 and hailing from various backgrounds, underscores the beauty of our collective passion for surfing. We firmly believe that the exhilarating joy of being in the water should be accessible to all, regardless of ability or equipment access. To this end, we offer surfing opportunities to everyone and aim to inspire through activities such as beach cleanups, in-water etiquette lessons, food drives, informational panels, surf lessons, and more.
